7/4*/3 looks very tempting to me. The race deficit indicates hitting is required, so hit and find an ace. The ace is trickier, as sorely tempting as it is to play 6/5, I dont think its worthwhile.

You are basically flipping the cube on any no return hit or escape number, so its important to not get hit. Minimize those shots, move the blot further back. Make it more difficult for white to win.
