I've got a new book recently. Can you guess what it is yet?

LoL - Let me guess, Chess Openings for White Explained!?

I do like your post and would like to see more like it and have the time to do more like it myself. Let me add a little to your post from my own observations. [yea.. listen to the guy you're playing against for advice on which play to make lol]

After an opening 6X split by your opponent and any following 31 it's correct (or at worst tied, 64S/31?) to make the 5pt. Here your opponent (that's me) doesn't even have a builder in the outfield so all you're deflecting basically is my defensive progress.

Making the 5pt in this position not only perfectly unstacks your still heavy 6pt but maintains a key builder on your 8pt, which you may have noted in your new book, Chess Openings for White Explained.

The poor distribution left after hitting should be noted also. What are you going to use to cover the slotted barpoint? The stripped midpoint and concede that outfield point or one of the other two points, shuffle them around, to make a stripped, ugly, mini prime that's impossible to maintain?

If you hit there are only 14 shots at the guy on your barpoint, if you ignore 33 and 55 as hitters (wherever I may choose to hit w/33) Also, what about 22? 11 is also a roll I wouldn't throw back, so hitting leaves me at least half the deck as good numbers.

Hope you enjoy your new book, I really think it's excellent.
