Have you looked at related positions? I also thought it was a take, and it likely is without Blue's blot on the 8 point or especially if Blue's 8 point is made.

What's a good reference position here? I used one where one side needs to roll an ace to come to the edge of a 5 prime and then roll a 6 to jump it.
