Two of the 2's must obviously be played 8/4. After that I consider 22/18, 18/16(2) and 13/9. Moving up with 22/18 may seem like a decent play, but I don't like it at all. It takes away a lot of pressure on Stick, he can then unstack and make his home board in peace, and the game turns more into a holding game. 13/9 is better I think, leaving a blot in front of Stick's anchor is not risky here. But what do we want to accomplish with this move? Our position on Stick's side of the board becomes stripped and stretched out. Having a spare on the mid point is valuable here, we need to start bringing the back men home. Since I don't want to move the blot in Stick's home board, I'll move 18/16(2). The anchor is still communicating with the back blot, so the blot is in no more danger now than it was.
