Continuing my previous theme of getting the more advanced anchor (or rearmost point for the purist), I would like to advance from the 18 point.
All the way to the 14 point is an option, but I prefer 18/16(2) because it allows me to make make the four point and maintain connectivity with Sam's Man, a beautiful six pips apart.
Playing 4 and 18 builds our board, but reduces our coverage of White's, so we are less likely to get to use it.
Abandoning the midpoint with 13/11(3) 8/6 looks wrong somehow, but I expect Chuck loves it. At second look, it could give us more flexibility, and the eighteen point holds against White's midpoint effectively on its own.
I can't convince myself to break the midpoint, so I'm going with 18/16(2) 8/4. How wrong can it be?
