Now we will soon need some timing, and we cannot afford to play all up front 8/6 - we have no guarantee that little junior can get out next turn and then we would be seriously cramped. Moving up 18/16(2) is also very tempting here, putting pressure on both Stick's outside points. If I had 5 2's 22/16 18/16(2) would be my play, but we have only 4. That means 8/4 with either 18/16(2) or 22/18, I think we can afford to leave the back man for one more roll. It still does some good where it stands, in most cases it will be free to run next turn, or we have saved some flex up front to handle bad variations. The long term value of making the 16 point must outweigh the downside of Stick's attacking variations.
