Recube against a few checkers off?!

but there is an argument that White should hold off until he reaches the last point of D/P, in which case Blue may err by taking.
That's an argument, but not the one that was made, which was:
... the goal here is for blue to get to the recube window, so that white can take.... lets see if white can somehow get into a taking position.
Of course, the problem is that White might also err by doubling too late.
Aye. In Matt's position, should White not double and wait until he gets to the following position, hoping that Blue takes?
