My game plan would be to try and get him to take a bad cube next turn! It's my impression that 18/17*/16(2) will give him more opportunities where he might be tempted do that, and also fewer ways to get him back into serious contention. But I may be wrong--Player 2 is your opponent, so you tell me what he's more likely to do!
