I often use Trice's formula in Boot Camp for simplicity. I use Kleinman otherwise, especially with match score take points that are significantly different than money. I've been using Kleinman since the mid-eighties. It isn't as difficult as it's reputation. It's easy to memorize a few squared numbers and approximations can be used for the division.

I also use Kleinman frequently for analyzing positions I mis-evaluated while playing. I try to back into the pip count adjustment required to give the proper winning % using Kleinman. Then I try to figure out what I should have done at the board to adjust pips for the position properly.
