Is HGH allowed by the rules of BG?

When my kids complained about their height (with some justification; it appears they both pulled their height genes from the shallow end of the family pool) I used to present them with this hypothetical case: Scientists find a way to increase your height beyond your genetic destiny, including after you've finished growing naturally. However, for every inch of height you gain, you lose 5 IQ points. How many inches would you want? What quality matters most to you?

My son thought awhile, and said he'd stay the way he is. My daughter, who doesn't see why you should merely think "outside the box" when you can live there, said she'd choose to shrink a few inches to get smarter. But anyway, they both got the idea.

I made this up maybe 10 years ago, when they were in early high school, but the current use and misuse of HGH demonstrates something every science fiction fan knows: today's fiction is tomorrow's reality, and life does indeed imitate art.
