In Response To: One of Life's Most Important Questions (Dan Pelton)

The funny part about Me & My Bobby McGee is that so many real artists have covered it, I suppose like a lot of great songs. The weakest parts of Kristofferson's original versus the Janis cover is the outpouring of Janis' emotions and Kris' backup singers.

Cash covered it, pretty decent, LeAnn Rimes did it, not very impressive, Pink's version, Janis~esque, good, nice finish, The Grateful Dead did it!? not my taste, JLH did it, exactly what you'd expect from her, Jerry Lee Lewis did it, not suited to his style at all in my opinion, Tori Amos blows this song spectacularly, Dolly does Bobby McGee!, Dolly's pure country voice, what more can you say...The Highwaymen covered it, if you don't know who they are naughty country fans! A slew of other artists, but even I'm getting tired of listening to the song now.
