My first instinct when I saw the position was 13/5*(2), putting White on the bar while making our 5 point. Nice offensive play, and takes away half of White's roll. The best defense is a good offense. And if he his our blot on our mid, we play with 4 (rather than 3) checkers back. When looking around for alternatives, I was drawn to 24/20(2), making the advanced anchor, and then 11/7(2), making a 3 prime, and keeping our mid. -- After this roll, we are still 11 pips behind in the race. I think we should take away half of White's roll while putting his checker on our 5 point on the bar. We want to try to prevent him from making an advanced anchor. 13/5*(2) for me.
