I prefer 13/5*(2), the play that is strong when it works (better board, possibility of improving both defense and offense, but sometimes scrambling to advance the anchor and save the outfield blot) and weak when it doesn't (possibly 4 checkers back and no advanced anchor) over 24/20(2)* 13/5*, which seems stronger when it works (we'll soon have both 5 points), but weaker when it doesn't (21 returns lose 20 pips; we could end up in a so-so 5-4 game, or we could attack again ...). Interesting choice.
