Standard cash, or am I TGTD here?

Here, in short, is the common sense theory. First we're going to assume you're a decent player (that's me =) After that we'll presume you have no bankroll limitations and you feel as comfortable playing for quarters as you do for singles. [though you do, of course, play a bit tougher playing for quarters] We have to assume the only reason you'd be in a chouette playing for $1s or $5s is that it's the only chouette going, the only one you can get into, or otherwise the one that will be, overall, the most profitable for you.
That being said it seems pretty obvious that the further you move down in stakes in general the worse the players get. (I stated in general so stfu) The worse the players get the more bare passes become takes because they'll toss you the equity back and then some, making anything borderline a huge take, and even some blunder takes legit takes. The longer or more complicated the position is to play out when your opponent(s) cube the more leeway you have to take monster passes knowing that you can properly play out the position while they'll butcher it from here to Memphis.
EG: The chouette in Dayton from a couple of weeks ago I played in, we were playing $1/point with autos & coons. I remember passing one initial double the entire time and I ended up ahead enough to pay for my miserable doubles showing and then some.
