I'm not sure how it is in XG, but the published Opening Book shows identical plays, wins, losses, gammons, bgs at both DMP and 2a 2a.

If DMP and 2a2a should have identical values, then why not 1a 2a PC , and 2a 1a PC, as the cube will be turned even earlier at those scores, than it might be at 2a 2a?

Once the cube is turned at 1a 2a PC or 2a 1a PC, is that not effectively the same as playing at DMP? If so, doesn't it make sence to make the DMP plays from the beginning? If I know that my opponent will play DMP at these scores, can i gain an advantage by not making the DMP play?
