1a2aPC and 2a1aPC aren't the same as 2a2a or DMP because there is still cube action possible, which can affect checkerplay. For example, at 2a1aPC, you would split with a 2-1 opening roll to get a more efficient cube on your next roll, but at DMP you would slot.
