Nice problem. I would try 4/3* 4/2. I think we have to keep a five-prime and breaking the 9pt looks bad because it gives White any 6 to gain a huge advantage. If that reasoning is correct then we are left with just three plays: 4/3* 4/2, 4/1, and 4/3*/1. I don't believe that it helps our cause to get hit; I think we'd rather have chances to escape our back checkers than be on the bar and hope that White crunches instead of escaping. So I don't like 4/3*/1. 4/1 is interesting, but then any 1 is pretty strong for White. After 4/3* 4/2, I think only 64 is really a killer roll for White.
