OTB, I hit, which is the DMP play (of course) and, according to an XG rollout, the money play by a small margin (see below). However, ATS, the computer prefers to buy later rather than buy now, by a rather large margin.
I didn't spend a lot of time on this even though I was just playing XG and wasn't constraining myself to play fast. Part of the reason was that I was pretty sure that I would not increase my chances of arriving at the right play because from experience I knew that I was not going to be able to estimate wins and gammons well enough. Keene asked if I was really interested in the checker-play decision or in the clock question. The answer is both. I was curious as to how many players felt that they could estimate wins and gammons well enough to benefit from spending a lot of extra time here. If neilkaz and JOH can't arrive at the right estimates confidently then the answer must be, "very few."
