In Response To: OLM 20141030A The Prime Factors CONSULTATION (Jason Lee)

I don’t think there is much equity at stake here. All the proposals will create a flexible position that will have us readily making points in the follow-up.

One thing that has not been emphasized too much is that the Dillies are unlikely to be leaving any shots. Kruidenbuiltje wrote that they have 4 rolls where they might choose to attack, hitting and leaving an outside blot on their bar point. I have not counted shots myself, but my approach to this turn includes an assumption that we won’t be hitting anything next turn. Frankly, I pretty sure the Dillies will be able to play safely for the next two turns, and in their shoes, it would take a lot to get me to volunteer any shots. If that is right, then we can pretty much leave blots wherever we like. As I said my opening, any flexible play should yield about the same equity.

I originally voted for 13/9 10/7. I still like that play, but I must say I am intrigued by 8/4 6/3, the play Casper and Lenny voted for. It suprised me, because it did not make my list of candidates. As soon as I saw it, however, I liked it. It works because the Dillies are likely to be blot-free for at least two turns. I am still deciding, but I may switch my vote to that play.

I will post my decision at 9:00 p.m. EDT (6:00 p.m. PDT). My plan is to go with the majority. Here is where we stand so far.

Player Origninal Vote Vote in Consultation
Bob Koca 13/9, 6/3
Casper Van der Tak 8/4, 6/3 8/4, 6/3
Chuck Bower 13/9, 10/7 13/9, 10/7
Daniel Murphy
Fatboy 13/9, 8/5
garyo 8/4, 10/7 13/9, 10/7
Havard Raddum 10/7, 8/4 Any move with 8/4 in it is fine
Igor 13/9, 10/7 I’m fine with any move on the list of candidates.
kruidenbuiltje 13/9, 10/7 13/9, 10/7
lenny 8/4, 6/3
Seth 8/4; 10/7 8/4, 10/7 –or– 13/9, 10/7
Steve Mellen 13/9, 10/7 13/9, 10/7
Taper_Mike 13/9, 10/7 Leaning towards 8/4, 6/3
