After 20/14, White hits with 4, 3, 2 and our checkers are not connected. After 21/15, White hits with 4, 3, 1 and our checkers are connected. White can use aces to safety his outfield blot and connectivity is two-edged, so my choice is 20/14. 24/18 is much too exposed for me.
