Once again, doubles lead to many options to consider. First, I will eliminate 13/1*(2); I hate to bury 2 checkers on the 1. Hitting on the 2 with 8/2*(2) is somewhat better. Then we can remake the 8 with 20/8. Or, we could make our bar point with 13/7(2). If we make our bar, keeping the 8 point (and a 3 prime), might be better than POH on the 2 and giving up the 8. The position resulting from 8/2*(2) 13/7(2) sure looks blotty. And the position after 8/2*(2) 13/1* looks even more blotty, even though it does put 2 on the bar. If we keep the 3 prime after 13/7(2), 22/10, adds a builder, but gives White some fly shots or a chance to POH on his 5 point. 20/8 is safer, and adds a second spare on the 8. -- I want to get better at playing doubles, so I set this up on a board. Of all the resulting positions, the one after 13/7(2) 20/8 looks best to me, so that's my vote. (But I'm not confident it's right.)
