Contain White's back checkers, stop White from moving (particularly the (1) 22- and (2) 24-point checkers, and reach double/take or double/pass immediately with this superjoker, one of the few rolls Blue had that improved his front position. 8/3*(2) to point on head, and 13/8(2) to make a broken 5-prime. White can't even take the impending double if he dances or anchors on the ace point.

Blue's back checker are not blocked, and cover White's outfield -- and homeboard. Thie midpoint is not working hard now. If White rolls 4-5 or 4-6 from the bar after 13/3*(2) and it turns out that Blue's midpoint might have been useful, well, bad luck for Blue.
