Ahead by 25 pips after this turn, Blue must surely clear his midpoint. After that, the question is how best to get home safely and obtain the best distribution of checkers inside. 13/3(2) looks like it will more often generate a balanced distribution of checkers, while 13/3 13/8 10/5 should make it easier to clear points in order.
Neither of these is a QF play, so I guess they do not fit the requirement to be “devious” that was given in the OP. Nevertheless, I’ll go with 13/3(2).
