David, I know exactly what you mean. The better you play the more good rolls you will have and the more bad rolls you give to your opponent.
But that is not how XG measures luck at all. And again, that is why the XG luck measurement is not really telling the whole story.
The way it works is this: at the beginning of a roll, there are 36 possible rolls, and somewhere there is an average roll. If the player rolls above average, depending how much above average, his luck factor goes up and his opponent's luck factor goes down by the same amount. Conversely if he rolls below average, his luck goes down and his opponent's goes up.
So it really doesn't matter who played better...every roll of the dice can be above or below average or around average, and that produces the number.
