I don't do QF, so I'll probably get this one wrong.

the first quandry is whether it's a good idea to split here. White has no board but 11 in the zone. On one hand, Blue needs to get the runners moving so he's not stuck on the ace point, on the other splitting risks getting blitzed off the board.

I think the split is sound, but there's nothing to do with the five. 13/8 strips the midpoint and stacks the eight. 8/3 really looks like the only reasonable way to play the five (other than as a part of 13/7). If I'm playing 8/3 I'll want to play 6/5 to make a third builder. 8/3 6/5 looks sound. Not sure it's best, but it's what I'll play.
