You must have forgotten an adage that's been around forever on Gridgammon: "You can't come home both late and broke."

And why if you are having a bad night at the chouette, you shouldn't stay and steam it up for an extra hour (or maybe three or four) trying to catch up, is expressed by an even older saying: "You will get even, all right. Even worse!"
