In Response To: strange choice of play to be in book opening (Bob Koca)

The XG Opening Book entry in question looks like it came from an old DMP rollout of 51S-43. As it happens, 43A = 8/5 6/2* results in the exact same position as the hitting play 5/3*/2 does in your third-roll position. In Nactation, that is

31P-52S-21
2 (Digit2) = 5/3*/2

So, there are two ways to reach the same position:

51S-43A = 31P-52S-212

Each move in a rollout is stored separately in the Opening Book. More precisely, the position resulting from a move, along with its equity (and other data), are stored separately from other moves. When you ask for an eval later, XG happily mixes and matches these entries. That's what happened to you here.
