Making the 21 point looks very wrong. We have a better board, a better anchor, fine outfield control, exclusive access to the cube and only a small racing deficit. We're winning and should play forwards.

Our five point is a more permanent asset than 10 pips, and it is more difficult to make. We will often have opportunities to hit for more pips with more suitable checkers, like those from the 24 and 22 points.
