If we make the four point white can run out with sixes and keep her prime. If we make the bar, white is forced to play most 4s, 5s, and 6s on her side of the board thus weakening her prime.

IOW, this position is mainly about about timing and making the four point doesn't address the timing issues.

I play 8/7(3) 6/5.
