There is a park in Brooklyn: Asser Levy Park(between Surf and Sea Breeze Ave) where you may probably find $1 chouette. But my info is about 7 yrs old(my late dad used to play chess in that park). And I also remember of those people be very suspicious not to be taken advantage of by a hustler. So they are very reluctant to let new people in.
