I am confident about what the rollouts show in money play. Bob had it exactly right. Four plays are somewhat close, and a fifth is within 15 or 20 millipoints. In order, they are:
- U (Up) = 24/21, 24/20
- D (Down) = 13/10, 13/9
- S (Split) = 24/20, 13/10
- Z (Reverse split) = 24/21, 13/9
- X (Hit and split) = 24/21, 6/2*
At the current score, gammons are probably devalued slightly for both sides. That disinclines me to play D or X, which might win extra gammons. I am not sure whether the same consideration should also devalue U a bit. Is U a gammon-save play? I'm not sure. I can't remember what the DMP play is either.
My guess is that U, S, and Z are all close. I don't care for D or X. They give up too much when we are hit.
U (Up) = 24/21, 24/20
