Compared to the majority of our teammates, however, my backgammon accomplishments are quite modest. For that reason, I don't want to say flatly that X = 24/21 6/2* is fourth- or fifth-best at the current score. But I do suspect that is the case.

Mike, you are definitely one of the strongest experts on our team when it comes to the opening phase. I think the team does best when during consultation its members voices their strong opinion when they know/understand the position well.

I agree with you that AtS X is the wrong idea.
