I'll hit with the ace - eleven in the zone and no board means "bombs away!"

Then it's down to hitting a second checker with 8/2*, bringing a 12th checker into the zone with 13/7, or stepping up with 24/18.

Hitting two is always worth considering, but abandoning the four prime and exposing two blots seems a bit rash.

Abanconing the midpoint is thematic since it brings a 12th checker into range, but also seems a little loose. 24/18 is solid, but perhaps a bit timid given the circumstances.

I'll step up, since it's probably not too wrong if it is wrong.
