Seeding players according to the Calcutta prices

Since my question started a longer discussion, I want to add a few remarks.
The idea is the following:
1. Seeding players according to their Calcutta prices could make the auction more interesting.
2. If tournament directors think that players are to be seeded (for whatever reasons) the Calcutta prices seem to me a more objective measure (since these prices are determined by a market – the market of the bidders) than a ranking according to the tournament director’s discretion. Moreover, since the tournament director cannot anticipate the results of the auction – at least not exactly – not even he will know who will play against each other.
Of course, if players do object seeding in general, they will object seeding according to their Calcutta prices either – at least the idea seemed worth thinking about.
@ Mr Kazaross: I appreciate your opinion as a tournament expert very much. If you felt annoyed by my questions I duly apologize.
Yours, Roland
