This sounds fantastic. I'm thinking of something much smaller and simpler Android/IPhone based that can take a picture and simply output an XGID or a gnubg ID or a mat position.

Appstore priced, no additional hardware overhead.

A full blown polished solution would be fantastic for the open tourney players here but I'd like to be able to take a picture of my board to take reference positions and leverage xg for analysis. The tourney level solution with integration, camera, etc will likely not be in my price range.

That said it would be so so very nice to see smoothly integrated analysis in tourneys. With good commentators like Natanzon and Mochizuki, it could be the hole card camera that brought poker back to life. (hyperbole, but one can dream)

Blitz BG on ESPN. ;) Not exactly 25 point matches but Ephraim Reyes playing race to 7 nine ball likely doesn't challenge him either. But it does occasionally create sponsorships and advertising dollars.
