If you are playing on a board, how will xg know if you are playing a match or for money? How will it know how long a match. This has to be input somewhere.
These questions you pose make me concerned about the user interface design. I would not want something that's too much of a black box. How will it know? I'll input that information manually. How will it know if I'm playing a match or for money? I'll input that. How will it know how long the match is? I'll input that.
I think it's a waste of time to try to get the program to try to read this information from the board. Maybe I'm using a scoreboard but I'm playing heads up for money. I need to be able to override what the program thinks. Maybe I stacked checkers but the program didn't understand that and thought I made an illegal move. I need to be able to override that.
Good user interfaces are very difficult, and it's easy to get it wrong.
I'd be interested in beta testing the software and equipment.
