Fatboy lost in the first round in a tough match (he blamed the loss entirely on his teacher!)

It is a double elimination tournament, which is wonderful, because you get to suffer the humiliation of losing twice instead of just once.

Although the tournament is barely started, the big news is all the gossip and all the side action...all kinds of interesting fun things and hustling going on, and of course, I will tell all (for a price).

Personally, the highlight of my trip was beating Akiko. Oh, not at backgammon...we bet on who could swin the fastest lap in the swimming pool yesterday (where we were getting some sun and exercising). I won easily after dunking her as we started. (People who play fair are always at a disadvantage, and you can quote me on that.)
