For whatever reason I gave this position a silly deep search in 7 ply.

1. 20/14* 14/13 2. 20/14* 6/5 3. 20/14* 10/9 4. 20/14* 8/7

I am of the opinion that one should not play with style but should attempt to make the best play for the given position. There is so much further play in this position that anyone of the above four plays can be the winning play. More interesting are the contributors comments. Play one is a passive belt and braces solution. Play two is an aggressive approach. Plays three and four are middling or natural plays. I was happy in my preference for 10/9 over 8/7 for very good logical reasons. I guess the truth is we all play with style. Someone suggested that 6/5 was a pretty play I think it would be pretty awful bearing in mind the mental activity that would follow. These four plays are so close in equity there is no need to get the sackcloth out today.
