If even number on 2point (and no more points!) you go. If odd number you usually stay and want your opponent rolling a 1. There might be some exceptions at certain match scores, but mostly the wins + saved gammons outweigh the backgammon losses.

What's up here? All 1's besides 11 and all 2's besides 22 will leave a shot, so you'll have twice as much shot equity.

I stay and don't cover my 2point.
