Welcome in the club ;-).

By reading your posts you misunderstood that an immediate 1 or 2 leaves a shot. I meant what I said, an immediate 1 may not leave a shot, but an immediate 1 leaves a shot most of the time, or in other words, an immediate ace followed by any non double 22 & up. So "the immediate hope of your opponent rolling a two or an ace makes it worth it" is exactly what I meant.
