Blue could bear off a bunch while white dances. White hits blue's last checker. White is able to bear off 1 from the ace point but gets hit again. Eventually we get to the position of:

WHITE 2 on ace and 1 on 7 point. BLUE 1 checker on 22 point. If white gets a 21 roll he should play 7/5 1/off leaving two blots with race reasons being more important than downside of eventually getting 2nd checker hit. From there it is easy. Will have to make the cubes work out also.

Paradoxically the updated difficulty level made it easier for me. Got it almost right away.
