In Response To: Pitt DMP play (Stick)

Watching this match I felt very strongly OtB that the best play had not even been considered. I felt, and still feel for that matter, that the best way to win is 8/5* 6/4* and would do it in a shot even after seeing that the top two plays are tied. The 4 prime gives 1s, 5s, and 6s, leaving the middle numbers which can mostly be played comfortably with White's spare.

6/4* 6/3 creates 6 immediate bad sixes, 61, 62, 65. Also unstacking the top heavy six point and making the 3pt, which is too deep for my tastes at this juncture, appears not to be all bad. OtB 8/5* 6/4* wasn't even considered because Rory is a honkey ... and even upon showing this problem to some ppl the play wasn't considered. A big theme this weekend in Pitt, perhaps all weekends just now I'm becoming more aware of it, are missed plays. Everyone seems to be catching the Bower Syndrome.
