If the choice is between 8/5 8/7 and 8/5 6/5, Blue can take advantage of a nice swing on White's 21 by making the 5pt, as White now needs a 2 to both hit and tidy up his board. After 8/5 8/7, White can hit with the 1 and clean up both blots with the 2.
