Doubles Play from Pitt.

Two simple backgammon rules that I usually follow are:
1. The five point is the five point.
2. Innner board points are stronger than outer board points.
Thus, making the nine point is not my choice. 24/22, 13/11, 7/5(2). 6/4 is a different option than 13/11. However, I remember Neil posting about a year ago, that placing a spare on the four point is usually not best in early game scenarios. I cannot explain why but I have found that evaluations of many early game scenarios prefer to not place that builder on the four.
