If the score was 0-0/15 I'd make our 5pt in a heartbea and couldn't be talked out of it. It is the better point to make in general, is especially good thanks to the 4pt which it leverages, and it is harder to make than a defensive anchor here.

However the score calls for more defensive plays. On the other hand, "they" say you still need to play backgammon even when the score dictates a certain preference.

Since making our 5pt dominates at an even score, I have a hard time believing that the score is enough to make the 20pt, and an even harder time believing that the 20pt is much better than the 5pt.

Therefore I vote to make our 5pt here, and while there is a theoretical chance someone could talk me out of it, she'd have to be a damn fine debater to do so. I'd certainly try hard to talk her out of making the 20pt. Fortunately I don't have to try in this case. :)
