If I understood correctly you are the better player you say you would rather play this game out for two reasons. One is that you think it is more complicated than usual and the other is that you don't want to risk a 31 joker on a restart.

The first reason makes sense (if the position really is more complicated than usual). I think the second reason is misguided and even if it did make sense is misapplied. Note there are even bigger jokers such as 33 and 55 if you play the game after starting 52S.
