Personaly I think that one can't start to play below 4.5 without strong 2/2 ply rollouts. 2ply is fine but when one reach certain level of play can't improve his play more with this tool. This is more important part of this story.

I strongly disagree. We have very fast computers, that can deliver 2-ply rollouts in a reasonable time only for 2 or 3 years now. Do you think there were NO 4.5, 3.5 or 3.0 players in 2005, 2003 or 2002?

Next question: what do you think is the percentage of overall positions where the 2ply/2ply rollout would give (significant) different results than a 0ply/2ply rollout?

Do you think that these positions would have an immense impact on your learning progress? Or overall playing strength? I very much doubt it.
