I just see so many return hits with 24/18 with not as much upside as 13/7. I am not saying that 24/18 has more hits than 13/7. I have not counted the hits and made this decision as if I have limited time to play as in online backgammon. I suspect the return hit numbers are almost the same. But, the benefit of successfully slotting the 13 is greater than slotting the 24.
