I hedged with O'Laughlin at DMP in the semifinals and, as we both judged the other finalist to be a considerable underdog to either of us, agreed our winner wouldn't hedge in the final. That strategy worked as I won the DMP game with Ed and had a relatively easy match in the final. I'm not sure who the other guy had to play other than Norm Wiggins in his semi-final but I had to beat Grunwald, Fogerlund, and O'Laughlin to get to the final so I was particularly pleased.

Those winnings plus the fact that I was on the same calcutta team as Drew Giovanis -- who won the Championship division -- and bought back for my 20% share pretty much enabled me to wash for the week. Which isn't bad for Vegas with the longer stay and the entry fees for the Championship, the Super Jackpot, and the Open Jackpot.
