18/12 8/5 retains some control of the outfield, but it creates a very front-loaded distribution of extra checkers. 9/3 6/3 makes an additional point in our home, but gives up the 5-pt prime and volunteers some hitting numbers.

My favorite play is 18/9. It maintains the 5-prime, doesn't volunteer any shots, and moreover provides a nice distribution of extra checkers.
